GIS Analyst (Python)

About the role

For one of our projects, we are looking for a motivated GIS Analyst with working knowledge of GIS tools and Python to support our geospatial data processes. The role includes satellite image handling, preprocessing, raster/vector analysis, and supporting remote sensing operations essential for our AI-driven agronomy platform.

Key responsibilities

· Download satellite imagery from designated sources and maintain a structured data inventory.

· Perform preprocessing and quality checks for geospatial data under supervision.

· Conduct raster and vector analysis using tools like QGIS, SNAP, and EO browser platforms.

· Monitor raw data quality during collection and implement corrections when needed.

· Support development of new tools, automation methods, and remote sensing workflows.

· Work effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven environment.

· Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills & Competencies

Education : Diploma/Degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), or equivalent

· Strong understanding of GIS tools, techniques, and geospatial workflows.

· Practical experience in raster & vector analysis using QGIS, SNAP, or similar GIS platforms.

· Exposure to high-resolution satellite imagery and EO browser systems.

· Working knowledge of Python for basic automation or geospatial scripting.

· Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and data management skills.

· Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new tools, and collaborate in teams.
